Why Nicholas Baudin?
Nicolas Baudin Restaurant is named after the French naturalist/explorer whom co-founded Kangaroo Island in 1802 (confirm date) along with Mathew Flinders (more info click here)
Kangaroo Island (named by Nicolas Baudin due to the abundance of kangaroos) is located in South Australia and is known as “the jewel in the crown of South Australia”.
